Thanks for the good links. I can't believe these bullies. Ticks me off to no end. I can gladly say I've never once purchased an overpriced, overhyped monster cable product. And I obviously never will! After reading your link I did some Googling, swell company.

I was thinking of starting my own electrical company. I was going to call it Monster Electrical Services.

Matt, where do you find unbiased info on such equipment?
Truthfully without a lot of expensive testing gear how do we know if it really does what it is supposed to or it is just a box with some stuff in it?
I can entirely understand why you would want to protect your gear, perhaps the best way is a contactor that disconnects the equipment when your not using it?

On another note...I was thinking of starting my own electrical company. I was going to call it Monster Electrical Services. <--Joke. I guess I'd better think of a different name unless I'm willing to fight the big battle like the MonsterMiniGolf people are. Good luck to them, and I hope they can bring these bullies back down to Earth.
You should call it Monster Electrical Services and Support: MESS for short

mac,
When is the last time you were in Rincon? It has been on my list of places to go surf for 10 years and I think this year may be the one. I have been told it is a great place to go, just not on weekends because of the localism, a friend of mine showed me pictures of Tres Palmas from last winter, it was huuuuuge. Some great surf there.
I don't care how much they pulled the wool over your eyes, I would never buy from them knowing what I know now from how they bully small businesses into forfeiting their rights and names. At the time I was looking to purchase a new conditioner, I had the oppertunity to have a furman and monster side by side and pull the covers off. the specs read better, the parts looked better and all over the build quality of the monster just beat the competition. Having 1 audio source go through switchers, audio processors then out to 4 amps can cause a lot of hum. The monster killed all hum with the whole setup, The furman did not. The only thing I couldnt do was put an O-scope on the output and see how really clean the power was.
Ill post a pic of the inside later on- when I find it.

Agreeded!! These guys at Monster Cable prove PT Barnum right every day.:smile:I think EVERYTHING monster cable sells is a high priced scam.
what does agreeded mean? Oh I just got it I think. From the context I can deduce that you most likely meant agreed.Agreeded!! These guys at Monster Cable prove PT Barnum right every day.
It's the past tense of 'agreed'. :wink:what does agreeded mean?
I think EVERYTHING monster cable sells is a high priced scam.
It might not be a full blown scam, in that you are getting what they claim to be selling, ie. gold plated this and that and yada yada yada, but it's definitely not doing anything better for your ears. It's not improving the sound quality enough for the human ear to detect it IMO. Maybe computers and monitors and the like can detect the "improved" acoustics, but I don't buy into that mumbo jumbo. Especially after reding the experiment where people couldn't tell the difference between monster cables and coat hanger wire, when music was played through both as speaker cable.I would use any of their products for Audio/Visual, but range and dryer cords seem a little odd. Maybe people think their clothes will dry faster?
The Audio/Video gear is top quality, most definitley not a scam.
