Electronic ballast -- four two lamp ballasts

From the symptoms you described, that sensor isn't rated for electronic ballasts.

And i read that on the spec sheet--but i'm an electrician and figured the engineers were wrong! And for a whole month i thumbed my nose at the fact that it worked great!! But then i thought i'd really get wise and decided to install a relay to break the electronic ballast switch leg , and control that relay by tapping into the two wires feeding the "load" of a separate "par 38 combination/motion sensor". Now i have LED par lamps in this combination, but when i energized the circuit the relay just chatters??? Now i guess i've got to go back to "Plan-A", but find a motion sensor designed to function on electronic ballasts..:grin:
