Motion Lights also on switch

You could just wire a motion sensor so that the out-put lead is connected to the switch leg and as long as it can be fed by the same circuit, this way regardless of the 3 way switching position those lights will come on and time out with the motion sensor. For any additional need for light will be accomplished by the 3 ways.
 
it is possible. You need to run a 14/3 to each light. The only thing is you will have constant power to the motion with the breaker being the only disconnect. Just tie the black from the 14/3 onto the black (power) lead from the sensor. Tie the red wire from the 14/3 onto the red lead on the sensor which also goes to the lights. Tie the other side of the 14/3 red to the load side of the switch. It will bypass the sensor and control the lights. No damage with occur to the sensor since it's the same feed. I've done it before.

If you engergize your motion detector with a constant hot, it has a built-in photocell that will not trigger the lights during the day. Pull a 12/3 w gr. or 14/3 w/gr. (whatever your area allows) and make the red wire your switchleg common from one of the 3 ways. The 3 way switches now override the motion sensor and will turn on day or night. When the switches are left in the off position, the motion detector will still turn the lights on at night.

The problem is the lights will stay on day and night unless/until someone remembers.

Your first problem is to define the logic of this switching system.

A possible system:

1. We assume that all lights are to do the same thing meaning they are in parallel.
2. Any motion detection turns on all lights, if it is dark outside. Motion detector going to off does nothing normally.
3. Any manual switch can turn on or off all lights. There there is no time out on this capability.
4. There is radio controlled switch that can turn on or off the lights.
5. There is a logic state that can be set so that when one leaves the house the motion controls can both turn on and off the lights with an adequately long off delay.

This system can be built.
