for the overload the the nameplate value is used. overloads sized at 125% for motors with a service factor of 1.15 , or 40 degree temp rise all others 115%.

Is that a single phase motor? (40000/460) x1.25, if 3 phase (40000/ (460 x 1.73)) x 1.25 I think you forgot the 125% if single phase, if 3 phase you forgot the square root of 3. and the 125% I always use 480 on my calculations for my 3 phase motors.
