to my colleagues that work on motor drives. Is there a way to calculate the size of the cooling fan for the cabinet (plc, starters, motor drive) the one I have is 48"X30"X12". Any help would be really appreciatted

I have a couple of Excel spreadsheets for that. One gives the fan requirements in cfm. If its of interest, send me a pm.

Equipment cooling manufacturers have the formula in their catalogs. Try Rittal or Hoffmann.
