Motor Home 120v Grounding - How?

I am a member of a forum that involves converting buses to motor homes. Thia question regarging wiring has come up:

Do you ground the bus chassis to the green/ground at the panel on the bus?

Also, is sold core or multi strand the best wire for the wiring in the bus?

When running an onboard generator or inverter, the bus is not grounded at all. Should it be?

In Question 1, the ground and neutral ARE NOT bonded/attached at the panel (shore power supplies ground), but with a generator or inverter, does this still apply?

Should any or all outlets on the bus be GFCI/ACFI?

Thanks for any and all input on this!

Are you converting these buses to:
A. Motor Homes?
B. Mobile Homes?

Motor, as in recreational vehicle.

they have self contained 12 and or 24 V DC circuits as well (seperate - one for chassis (engine, headlights, etc) and one for 'house' (interior lights, stereo, water pumps, etc)

The service looks at a motor home as if it is a large appliance.

There is no need for any additional grounding, than the attachment cord provides.

best,
You need to get a copy of the National Electrical Code and look at Article 551. There are too many details to cover on this forum, but in general the equipment grounding conductor for the 120 volt system must be bonded to the vehicle chassis. See 551.56(B).
