A contractor recently installed a new soft start for one of our deep well pumps. It seems that the starter cabinet was not large enough for all the relays and controls to be mounted on the back plane. They are instead located on the right inside panel of the enclosure so that anyone needing to adjust timers, make wiring changes, etc, would have to stick his/her head inside and look to the right to see the relays. Is there a code rule that prohibits installing components in this manner? Thanks
