I'm working a car wash project where they have several motors and air compressors. My questions are

1. How do I go about sizing the fuse in the fusible disconnect for the motor?
2. How do I size the conductor feeding the motor?
2. How do I size the breakers in panel feeding the motors?
3. How do I size the feeder to the panel?

Please make references to the NEC where possible.
 
This is pretty basic stuff. Make sure that you are not "over your head" in this project. bphgravity gave you good code references, but you will need to do a good deal of study to learn how to apply them properly.
