Mounting Speakers in Suspended Ceiling

Anything that is mounted to a drop ceiling grid is to be suspended by wire, wire rope, or chain from above, I can't give you the exact building code reference but, it was brought up to installers in my company the beginning of this year. On the jobs I am on I even see the guys putting "safety cables" on equipment hung on unistrut trapezes.
