Ya but it's not all that unusual. I think alot of people who do kitchen remodels will run into this type of situation. I think more people will run into this install than will do the old school ACs that used this type of plug that was 240/120

Dryers and ranges are part of those unusual loads.

I don't have those problems. I use clean burning energy efficient propane. I buy it at the gun shop, that is in a building that used to house the York Substation that supplied McAdoo Pa. The lady that owns it is an 80 year old retired math teacher who understands polyphase electric systems, not to mention lots of other technical stuff. Sharp as a tack.
