Hi all- first post here (been reading for a while).
I just ran a multipurpose circuit to my shed, about 100' of 10ga underground.
Two pole 20 amp breaker in the main panel and currently a two pole 20 amp breaker in the shed. Off the shed panel I have one circuit running lighting (4 fluorescents and three incandescent fixtures) and one circuit running outlets for carpentry related tools.
Im convinced everything is well and good, but then I realized an ameatur mistake. I ran all the lighting with 14ga off that dual pole 20 amp breaker. Running all new 12 ga wire wold take quite a while and I have no desire to do that.
Am am I asking for trouble? I guess one could answer that two ways- by code or in real life.
Can i somehow add a second breaker after the two pole that is rated at the correct 15amp load? Thanks!
