Multi-wire circuit

Would a multi-wire circuit be permissible for the requirements of Column 4 in Table 300.5, specifically the 12" of cover? You would have two 120V circuits, but 240V between ungrounded conductors - would the 240V between those conductors prevent you from meeting the requirement of Column 4? Obviously a two pole GFI breaker would be used as well.
 
Since the text in the column heading is "Circuits Rated 120 Volts or Less" and not "120 Volts or Less to Ground," that wouldn't comply. Chapter 100 defines the voltage of a circuit to be the largest voltage between any two circuit conductors, so 240V for a MWBC.
