The interesting thing about this dash, console light's and head lights combination is that mine broke right at what would be(act like a chase nipple) the transition from one side of the fire wall to the knob that hold it. So I had to drill into a plate thats built around this device to the chasis frame. My thought was that I lost the Bond to ground of one side of the device those killing the dash lights. I can't remember if this thread part was metal or not. The replacement didn't require this attachment technic and no threed to assemble

No, I didn't pay to find my problem, LOL !!!

Head lights all day, dimmable on radio only, and no dash lights, Radio die's after a day of rain ...

I caught my auto mechanic going to this site.
It costs a couple bucks, but worth it!
Nothing irks me more than not being able to solve an ELECTRICAL problem in an auto.
A malfunctioning IDEC relay in a nuclear power plant is easier to find than a short in an auto electrical system.

alldata is a nice site.

Imagine being an auto-electric mechanic. Now imagine the customers "You mean I have to pay you to tear apart my car and tell me what's wrong?!?".

There is a sign hanging above the desk in a local auto/electric shop "Diagnostic services are NOT free. Payment will be made before pickup"
;)

I checked the fuses . It's an 04 F-250 SD.
Any body knoiw what this could be?
Its the lights where the speed, tack, gas ometers are.
Also the lights on the steering wheel quit working.
And the alarm to let you know the lights are on when you are getting out of the car.
They all quit working.

I would actually guess a bad ground connection. Have you tried hitting the dash in different places (not too hard!) to see if they come back on? It could also be a bad relay.

I need some more info ! which tranny??prnd21 or prnd321?? which engine?? Does OD cancel switch button or tow haul button on shifter handle work??? My mech needs the answer to these questions.

A little off topic here but reminds me of something. About six years ago I bought a temp controller for a machine at work. This was from a major industrial manufacturer. Straight out of the box the display didn't work so I called the tech line. The guy said "give it a smack". HUH? "Just smack it real hard with your hand". OOOKKKK. Started working and not one problem for six years. Give that guy a raise!

The mechanic gave me about 12 wiring diagrams and told me that without the further information that he requested that the problems seem to be originating at your headlight switch. If you want the wiring diagrams pm me and I will email them to you.
