I have to say this. The main reason I refuse to do Residential work,is

because, I cannot stand working with other subs and GC's with IQ's equal

to a 2 year old. I've done a few houses and I've asked a lot

of questions so as not to interfer with other subs and have been amazed

how many workers in Resi could care less about another trades work.

That mirror in question. Before starting the job I would have checked the

elevations of the counter, backsplash, and mirror height. I would have even

checked the detail sheet of the flooring. If that would have happened

to me. I would say, REMOVE the Mirror or I will. Then I would tell the GC

if I'm wrong and the mirror guy is right. I will relocate it on my dime.

One thing I took from resi work was,"Speed ,whatever the cost."

Don't burn me at the stake. I just really hate Residential work or should I say

the hacks that work residential. Present company excluded of course. Before

all the residential guys get upset with me cause the "Hack" statement.

The ones that bother me, are not members of a NEC forum.

Surface mounted to the bottom of the cabinet.

Just a thought but if thats an interior wall whats on the other side would it be better for all if you could access the wire from that side check for damage and maybe cut the mirror for clearance especially if its glued in place

I'm with you Karl.

This problem though, is not isolated to residential work. It's just more prevalent.
