Gentlemen.. I've been the route, as we have discussed. The Limited certification as remembering, certain amount of documented hours (needing to be certified) to qualify before sitting for the testing. As in any level of certification testing in State of North Carolina, (or did) is a requirement, verses the hours, sitting for the individual level(s).. Those hours obtain for sitting for the Limited, basically same amount hours for qualify sitting Journeyman exam in other States...It's 5:30am on West Coast and this has been stimulating, but believe I'll get some coffee w/ possible breakfast. Please try having a safe morning..
Go to page 30 of the link I posted, the required hours for each classification is there. Note the Unlimited was reduced from 14,000 hours a few years back

Roger thank you for posting the attached link... This morning, wasn't my attentions hijacking original poster's thread...

Message intended convey to the original poster.. There's a training program ( @ one time anyway) under heading "Level 1 / Level 2 / Level 3"/ for preparation training/exam testing in different level(s) of Code Enforcement w/ N. Carolina Department of Insurance, Electrical Inspectors/ Code Enforcement. The North Carolina Department of Insurance Level(s) testing for Code Enforcement, Level 3 quite possibly being strongest exam State N. Carolina having to offer.( in remembering, believing it was 130 questions/ 40 being raw calculation) This "classroom preparation" for testing for @ the three different Level(s) (1/2/3) will likely be instructed by a Chief Electrical Inspector of Code Enforcement, which in past so arranged outside of their own jurisdiction and generally set-up through the Community College System (or was yrs ago). If it's still being offered, believe you can possibly register & attend the classroom training course(s) if so choose. It's absolute wealth of knowledge and just sometimes, not always about money... Enjoy your work & have safe tomorrow ....
