NEC 2014 Section 110.26(E)

Attached sketch shows Side View and Front View. Structure is built around panelboards which supports two transformers as shown on the sketch.

I looked at 110.26(E)(1)(a) but it’s confusing structure is for electrical equipment which supports the transformer but not sure if it would be allowed or have to have certain height. The height from top of panelboards to structure labeled A in the sketch should it be 6 feet or can it be less or more than 6 feet?

agree.. your sketch does not give that dimension but as long a the transformer & support structure allows the 6'5 clearance from the floor and the space above the panel equal to the depth of the panel is clear (transformers set off from wall as shown), it should be o.k.

What if the transformer was not set off from wall? What if transformer touches the wall like attached sketch? Then what?

below is more accurate picture of what it looks like. I guess the transformer needs to be moved to the left a little in the red mark region it would obstruct the space above the panel equal to the depth of the panel?

Why can’t transformer be installed not set off from the wall shown post #6 it is an electrical install and allowed by 110.26(E)(1)(a) no?
 
The reason for the 6 ft clear space over the panels is to allow additional conduits to be installed at later dates.
The transformer must be set out at least the depth of the cabinet to allow for this.
