NEC 2014 section 620.24(A)

NEC 2014 Section 624.24(A) I thought only applies to pit area only. However, I have drawings which show separate branch circuit for light and receptacle for shaft as well applying 624.24(A).

Am I correct or incorrect to say NEC 2014 Section 624.24(A) does not apply to shaft and can have separate branch circuits for light and receptacle?

Replace above 624.24(A) with NEC 2014 620.24(A)
