After reading the above section of the 2005 NEC I noticed a discrepancy. The statement: "Class II (combustible) liquids" seems incorrect. I thought Class II covered dusts and not liquids. Was this changed?

It refers to Class II liquids of the NFPA 30.
Just from Memory:
Class I liquids form ingitable mixtures at or below normal ambient temperature.
Class Ii liquids do form ingitable mixtures at or below normal ambient temperature, they need to be heated to do so.

They are less than perfect, but that would be a pretty significant mistake even from the NEC.:D
