Indoor wiring run, which company makes 2-hr fire rated cables or wires to be used within EMT or RMC conduits and meet NEC 700.10(D)(2)? Doe this cable need to be run inside conduit or can be support/secure somehow inside the bldg.?
I'm the Lifeline engineer. Conduit fill will be your issue if using 600 KCM wires. It's not 40%. FHIT 25E has a chart that must be followed and you'll have issues. Assuming up to 420 amps (600 KCM) you're better off using single conductor Lifeline MC. You can run a single conductor 300 KCM (445 amps) times how many wires you need (3 or 4). The copper armor is your ground and for a 300 KCM it's equal to a 1/0 AWG. This is under FHIT 50 and fully listed by UL for 2 hours. If you need more than 420 amps (sets) let me know and I'll resize it for you and make sure the armor ground is sufficient. You can also call me at (803) 673-2774. I'm sure there are ways to cut some of the costs down as well.
