THe building was built in 1992 and at the time NEC allowed circuit breaker panels in bathrooms. A change in use of the building means that the premise is now subject to meeting current ADA requirements. This means I have to move an interior wall of the bathroom, making a 5'7" x 6'0" room just a bit larger at 5'7" x 7'2" (14 inches longer).

Do the changes that I need to make to the bathroom for accessibility (ADA) serve as a catalyst to have the electrical service meet the updated code?

Last thing I wanna do is move the electrical service.

Advise.

IMO that should not necessitate moving the panel however I would check with the authority having jurisdiction as they may have a different opinion. The NEC is silent on this situation. Panels are still allowed in bathrooms in non dwelling but it cannot be the service panel. If this isn't a service panel than it is not an issue but you did say service so you may need to check with the authority having jurisdiction.

Not sure of the diffence between service panels and breaker boxes but.... It's the only one of its kind in the building. Meter and drop mounted on the exact exterior opposite side of the wall.

You can flip a switch and turn al the circuits off, or you can flip each breaker individually.

I am moving an interior wall, not the wall that the service/box is located.

Regarding semantics, were service panels allowed in non-dwelling buildings prior to 1993?

I realize parts of PA don't require licenses but IMO you need to get an electrician or ask the authority having jurisdiction. Unfortunately we cannot help you on the how to.

Service panel is the first disconnect panel after the meter.
