NEC and grounding terminology

If the current Equipment Grounding Conductors are being proposed to be called Bonding Conductors, then:

What will we call the current bonding conductors such as the #8 around a pool or a bond to interior metal water pipe?

I see a difference in the conductors. EGC's are required to be run with circuit conductors, but bonding conductors are run by themselves.
