NEC art 220.12 feeder question

Hi all,

I have a question and need some clarification. When calculating the lighting load for service size I used table 220.12 for the min. lighting load (3.5w/sq ft in my case)... My actual lighting load is alot less.. My service is still going to be sized per art 220.12 requirements, but can my lighting feeders be sized to the actual load ?????

Off the top of my head, no. For sake of argument, assume a service with 1 feeder carrying the entire service load. Would you say that the service should be per 220 but the feeder should be sized to your load?
