Hi. We have a project where we will be adding a new photovoltaic system to the building. Due to the location of the electrical panel, we would like to intercept an existing 120V, 20A, electrical circuit to feed useable 120V photovoltaic power back to the electrical panel. Are there any NEC restrictions that would not allow us to integrate this system as described?

The NEC will probably not allow you to keep existing loads connected to the circuit and also use it to feed PV power back to the panel where the circuit originates.
Among the problems would be the 120% rule (for the circuit wires and for the panel), along with how to configure OCPD that will meet the requirements both for the existing loads and for the PV backfeed.

If you essentially abandoned or refed from another circuit any loads currently connected to that circuit you might be able to dedicate it for a PV backfeed connection. The devil is in the details and you have not given us enough yet.

As a Solar Designer, you should probably be consulting a local licensed electrician rather than floating ideas here on the Internet.
