I am wondering if there are any NEC codes as for either how deep the rigid EMT must be before it a stub-up is made, or if there is any NEC code as to how high the stub-up must be and if so from where. The few codes I have come across about such things are NEC 390 which discusses how deep the raceway must be if it is under ground, but not about the stub-up.

Welcome to the forum.:)

I agree with 480sparky in regards to section 300.5 for the burial depth.

As for the stub ups you can use PVC to come up through the slab there is no requirement that you use RMC or IMC to come up through a slab. You do have to install the PVC in accordance with Article 352, so if the PVC was exposed to physical damage then the PVC must be identifed for the use (Schedule 80).

I have seen engineering specifications that require the use of an RMC stub installed where the conduit comes up through the slab, but this is not an NEC requirement.

abralest,

Article 390 is for underfloor raceway , such as ' walker duct ' or the equivelent.

Maybe if you explained what you are doing, we could give you a better reply.
