Working at a mine as an electrician subjects you to MSHA rules and non electrician bosses often try to force you to do illegal electrician work if under NEC.

Apparently Msha is less strict but who has authority or even authority having jurisdiction?

Where did you find this source of info? Did you find that section in NEC stating that mines are not covered under NEC because I can’t find a section 90.2 in mines?

Am I supposed to wire things as if ignoring all regard to NEC?
 
Also I forgot to mention that I am on mine site but not in mines yet as mines are in process of opening up. I am doing all surface wiring until then

It is in the NEC "Introduction" 1st page of the actual text in NEC.
