Need some guidance relatively new to the industry

Really need some guidance on finding work and having trouble finding work, not sure what I’m doing wrong exactly i’m a hard worker I catch on very quick i’m very considerate and respectful. I have some experience as well as my industrial electrical technology level. One certificate from Chaffee College need a few more classes to get my second and third certificate. My main issue is not having a drivers license due to Dui, which was about six years ago almost which is still affecting me. Hard to get my license back without having a job to pay for the things I need to get my license back on top of life and rent. All the jobs I am finding need a cream driving record and a drivers license. I never asked for help or like to bother anybody, but I’m at the end of my ropes right . Is there anybody that could guide me to the right place or anything that could assist or help me?

Are you looking for employment as an apprentice electrician? You really did not describe your experience. If you are in New Jersey, hopefully the public transportation system of busses and trains is good enough to get you where you need to be as you try to get your DL restored.

Move some were. You can find one if you look all over. Most are going to take advantage of your situation but you can do the same

Mist EC’s will still hire you for construction, probably have to start as a helper. I worked jobs where nearly had the crew had lost licenses. If you get a job, can you afford a liquor cycle? That will get you to work for a while. Maybe you can find rides with coworkers later, if convenient for them. Pay Uber for rides if you must. Look for any busses if you’re in an urban area. Save all the $ you can. Carry lunches, don’t eat out. Carry food & drink for breaks as well. A lunch cooler & thermos will pay for themselves quickly. You will have to buy tools, so save $ for them.
