I have a client that wants local control stations (Emerg. Stop button, Stop/ Start buttons and two push to test LED type pilot lights) in an area below grade that has a potential of flooding. I have found manufacturers that make NEMA 6P enclosures but I haven't found anyone that makes NEMA 6P rated pilot devices. I have found a number of manufacturers that make NEMA 6 but 6P is required. If anyone knows a manufacturer that makes NEMA 6p rated pilot devices, would you e-mail me. Thank you.

Siemens 3SB3 22mm pilot devices are tested to IP67, which is not quite NEMA 6P, but pretty damed close to NEMA 6. The "P" has to do with the length of time of submergence, meaning "prolonged", but I don't have my NEMA 250 standard available to tell me what length of time they mean. NEMA 6 is called "short duration" submergence. Both NEMA specs are based upon total submergence at 6 feet of water.

IP67 is total "temporary" submergence at 1 meter with no time qualifier.

Test for NEMA 6P is submerged 1.8 meters (6 feet) for 24 hours. NEMA 6 is 1.8 meters for 30 minutes.
