So the question is whether there's reason to think that a connection passing the UL 486A-B current cycling test would in fact pass the UL 487 short time current test (or vice versa), and if not, why the UL 487 standard doesn't include a short time current test? Since such a connection could be subjected to fault currents.It was Ideal's assertion that it would not, but of course they wanted to sell more green wirenuts.
