Neutral or No

In a separate post I asked about the wire type for a sub panel feed. The Loads I am feeding are all straight 480volt three phase loads. I am installing a sub panel to have a little extra room for future expansion. Should I pull a neutral conductor for some future unforseen 277 volt load. I would need to upsize my pipe for the added conductor but that is not the end of the world as I think it would make pulling easier.

You would know more about future loads, or the possibility than we would. IMO, I would pull the neutral. From past experience, someone will come along later and ask for a circuit that requires one. Then you have to explain to them why you didn't pull one and why now it will be more to do so.

Other factors to consider:

1) How difficult would it be to increase the size of the conduit now but pull a neutral later (time is money, so you can justify increasing the size of the conduit simply to have an easier pull)

2) Would there be value to pulling a reduced or even minimum size neutral?
