exactly the same thing happening in this side of the world. many "harmonics" problem disappears when botched up installations were discovered
 
I got to tell you, every time, without exception, someone tells me about some kind of harmonic or strange grounding problem, what I find is something anyone with a good understanding of basic electrical theory could find. I often end up thinking to myself "what has this guy been smoking"
 
And why we are even loading neutrals for server racks is beyond me anyway. 120 volts is so homeowner DIY stuff anyway

Why do you think they are so stuck on using a neutral, irregardless of the voltage? I think I have heard Bob (iwire) mention 208 V server racks recently. I assumed he meant a 120/208 V wye transformer secondary from phase to phase. To me that seems like the best setup.

Or even if we used a 139/240 V secondary wye configuration. Using the center point as only a grounding point.

I have posted that I have more than once come across harmonics problems.
Perhaps more often than many because my field is power electronics.
We, those in my field that is, actually specialise in screwing up otherwise perfectly good sinusoidal voltage waveforms by taking krappy shaped current. Works a treat!
But, slightly more seriously, there are an awful lot of small, single phase non-linear loads out there. Each nothing much in itself. But in aggregate it's something else.
