215.4 Feeders with Common Neutral.

(A) Two or three sets of 3-wire feeders or two sets of 4-wire or 5-wire feeders shall be permitted to utilize a common neutral.

Does this mean I can have 2 branch circuits with on common neutral? Please could someone clarify this.

The code section you cited has nothing to do with branch circuits. It only applies to feeders. Are you asking about a "multiwire" branch circuit, where you have one of each of the ungrounded conductors and a grounded conductor?

Article 215 ?Feeder?

215.1 Scope. This article covers the installation requirements, over current protection requirements, minimum size, and ampacity of conductors for feeders supplying branch circuit loads as computed in accordance with Article 220.

I mean if I run two branch circuits (General outlets, lighting loads) can I use one common neutral for both circuits?

I?m a little confused on what Article 215 covers, could you explain in more detail?

The definitions are part of the key to understanding what is written in the NEC, but for each Article, the key is reading the scope to that article. The scope will tell you what is covered in that particular Article.
