New (electric?) Work Van for in city work?

I have had a 2023 E-transit for about a year. It's great. No issues so far but I only have about 5,000 miles on it. Winter range is about 100 miles. Summer more like 120. The range hasn't even come close to being a problem for me.

I think the Brightdrop vans are showing signs of being discontinued.

Did you buy it as a new vehicle or did it have mileage on it already?

Where did you see that?

Seeing all incentives for clean energy going away, and currently ham strung by complex tax filing at time of sale.

$7,500 Clean Vehicle Federal Tax Credit* may go away in 6 months

No one mentioned Rivian, aka the Amazon Electric Delivery vans.

Per their webpage, the 'big' one is pushing $84k, and I guess there are some type of credits/incentives

Range is listed at 160 miles, with a 2200 lb. payload.

I see the parade of them from the Amazon Distribution Center daily.

I didn't know Rivian made the Amazon vans. I'll look into those too

I thought you tight wads was were giving me a hard time about my car that’s more lol
I've had a change in thinking over the past few months.

I was kinda forced out of my HHR because the remodeling company I was subbing from got so dysfunctional. I just didn't have room for all the uninstalled materials I was hauling around day to day. Five to six jobs at a time not complete, with the last one Master Bathroom, I started the finish in October - and in December they were still making decisions about light fixtures and upgraded devices.

In October I got into a Ford Transit Connect and the shelving helped a lot. However, my current work stream has me back into remodeling 70% of the time, so now I'm looking at something I can walk into.

I got one and it’s great -

Unless your service work is extremely close to you or you’re on a job all day like every day I would not get EV, now I wish they made a hybrid
What is your MPG on that?
Most of our jobs are pretty close, so it kinda makes sense for an EV.. I also wonder what my gas savings would look like over time with it.. plus I think I can get $7500 tax credit on that thing too

You may need to move sooner rather than later for the tax credit. The current tax climate may become less friendly to EV credits before long, if it hasn't already (I haven't kept current on the details lately). Also, make sure that the credit is available for your business; DBA, S corp, LLC, etc.
