How about if there is an indoor fountain front of it?
How about if it is inside of a hothouse for tropical plants with 100% humidity and 85F* or higher maintained?
As long as 110.26 is followed there is no problem. (Hmmmm, I have this strange feeling of Deja Vu) :wink:
I might think of using a NEMA 3R panel and some ambient corrections, but it wouldn't change anything as far as location to a mop sink is concerned.

Aaaah, finally we're getting somewhere.
This example demonstrates how the Code allows installations which present dangers as obviously as a dot on the guru's forehead, while prohibits installations that present dangers that have a chance occuring about as much as a 747 attempting to land in my office. (Ok-ok the later is not demonstrated, but easily found by even the preverbial blind man.)
The preverbial animal being the elefant that was designed by a committee.

If it is obvious this panel is going to be saturated by the mop sink then apply 312.2

When you read theose definitions, none of the examples even make you think of a map-closet. It may be obvious to you, but not others. ( I would like to know a little more before make the judgement, like distance, etc.) In general, I loath to see ANY water in an electrical room, including sprinklers or even sewer lines overhead.
The NEC calls for subjective judgement that leaves room for disagreement and opens up the proverbial can of nightcrawlers....... and bad feelings between Owner installer and AHJ.

You not called me on anything, just called names. The responses tell more about the level of discourse than ths substance.
On all forums I participate on, some of them are pretty high level, the moderators adhere to the strict impartiality rule and don't let emotions and personal dislikes affect their conversations. They are held to a higher level of restrints than others, like judges. You made a personal attack on me by calling me names - without anything personal toward you from me, eg unprovoked - and that is as low as I ever seen it from a 'moderator'.

OK, lets talk about politics 101.
Except the NEC panels are not part of a democratic process, not a single member was elected by the constituents they serve. They each - with some exceptions - serve their own interest or the interest they represent. They are more representative of a bunch of lobbyist who agree on what the 'public' needs.
