Does anyone know to what extent NJ will accept the 2008 code particularly the AFCI?

"Rumor" has it 210.12 WILL be accepted as written.

Does anyone know when also?

Sometime between Jan. and May if I had to guess.

Here are some similar threads:

...and some additional info:

I was taking my 10 hour update and our instructor Bob Keis was telling the class that they have come a long way in regards to AFCI's. That they're still being improved but they save lives and alot of kinks have been worked out of them. He was a big proponent.

AFCI's are here to stay. Us Jersey guys are going to have to deal with it...

No doubt AFCIs have come a long way....but the "issues" are not entirely on the CB.
Think about a service upgrade ~ soon, we may have to use AFCI CBs here....think about the nightmares behind the walls ;)
