Hello All,

I'm excited to share something I've been working on for the last several weeks. Below are (3) links to separate spreadsheets that have my NEC feeder sizing calculations. They linear in operation going top to bottom on the "Feeder Sizing" sheet (the others are tables and reference), the blue cells are inputs, and the grey cells are outputs/calculations. It starts by calculating the conductor ampacity with all deratings, then moves onto EGC selector, then Voltage Drop, and then upsizes the EGC if requested, and finally sizes the conduit and confirms wire selection. Please try it out, let me know if something is not right. Go forth and design, enjoy!

For cables that are run in cable tray, what reactance (Xl) and resistance are you using from the chart in Table 9? Table 9's title is for cables run in conduit, if you're not pulling the Xl and resistance from Table 9 of the code for the voltage drop calculation where are you pulling it from?

Right exactly! The NEC only provides that table for conduit so there should be a disclaimer it’s based on that table same for messenger wire calcs
