Nice job. Funny, Looks very very similar to one I did 4 years ago, annoying pipe in the way and all

A good example of how little load there is if everything is gas: 11 units, 200 amp single phase, been like that for 60 years probably. I upgraded it to 400.

It's funny you say that. It was an 7 unit building each unit was being fed via a 12/3 BX landlord is not ready to run individual risers yet.

I was on a crew that did 12 of these in 30 unit apartment buildings.

Each unit had a 14 AWG K&T riser so each meter got a single pole 15 amp breaker in place of the 30 amp glass fuses that were in place when we arrived. The breakers tripped constantly. I have no idea how long they stayed that way.

Wow, mine wasnt that bad. Most units had a #8 BX. What was a pain on this job was each tenant had a circulator pump in that utility room. I tried to talk the owner into just having the house pay for the circ pump electricity and raise the rents 5 or 10 bucks, but he wouldnt have it.

If they are the small "inline" pumps they probably don't even use more then a dollar or two a month in electric energy. Kind of assume owner is paying for the heating energy in the water being pumped - which will be much much more.

I also wanted to point out how NYC wants there grounding and bonding done

what you see there is water main ground ground rod and all the neutrals from the panel disconnect and the meter bank

No panels in each apartment yet the landlord will add them as he renovates each one. So as of now those breakers in the meter stack are just 20 amps.

I hope the open conductors to those old meters are temporary, you did say this is finished product.

The GEC bus - sure you are not misunderstanding something? If there were multiple service disconnecting means I could see them wanting it done a certain way, but don't you have just the one service disconnect?

Well the meters are temporarily hooked up untill Poco provides new ones. There is one disconnect correct and a panel with a main breaker in it . But that's how they. Want it it's b that way for a while now

The GEC only needs connected to the service disconnecting means, or some common point ahead of the service disconnecting means, per NEC. Only time a feeder would need to connect to the GEC is if it is a separately derived system or the supply to a separate building or structure, but that would be a new GES at the separate building or structure
