I can see some reasons why it will not sell and eventually fail

- it's not homeline and contract it's who want to save time and $) probably already use some type of BR style breaker.

- it only fit certain styles of NM

-its plastic and a lot of my friend's who use QO prefer metal connectors

- last it probably is more expensive because it's low production

Overall I think square d should think a little closer to the box and start making they boxes more roomy and more cost effective. Also some of you doors hardware are cheap and don't last long why don't you fix that first.

If you were doing a large apartment building and got a job quote on not only those panels but also the meter center and other necessary gear for the project you probably get a price that is fairly competitive to retail prices of BR panels and breakers.

Certain styles of NM- should fit 14-2 to 10-2 just fine. There is still some regular KO's available if you need to enter with a 8-3 or 6-3.

I don't think their loadcenter doors are much better or worse then anybody else's.

Ya I promise you they doors are cheaper side by side. Some panels they sell don't even have doors. Aaaannd they ain't selling no QO breakers nowhere around her for under $3 a pop no matter how many you buy. Aaaannd they found a container full of fake QO breakers in Florida that you couldn't tell the difference in appearance. So who want fake unlisted breakers. I have never heard of fake BR, they already cheap so how can they make $ on fakes.

Besides I bet the availability and price sucks no matter the quantity.

They do this in the industry come out with shiny glitzy products that don't live up to the hype.

And the panels are not that roomy or designed as well as the seimens

The Eaton Ch are probably the most solid guts for RES

Price in mind nobody wins with QO except QO. Only bad breakers out of the box I had were labeled QO. The flimsy guts suck and why do the breakers shift so easily that they fall akwardly in the panel. I can tell you why seimens bought the good patents

Siemens bought a company that already had the product line. It was a decent line to begin with. But I guess Schneider did the same thing, they just never changed the name of the division that makes those products.

I have more service calls on Siemens motor controls then I do on Square D's

Room in a loadcenter? Outside of some that only have 6 or 8 pole spaces they all have 14.5 inch wide cabinets and all have approximately same width breakers, so they all have similar wiring space. Differences are in neutral bus arrangement. I never liked having that neutral rail at the foot of the breaker, not so bad on new construction but harder to get to in existing situations.

Square D's AFCI breakers take up a lot of space - but don't get me started on that "scam" from all the manufacturers.

The QO loadcenters that don't have a door are available with a door, but apparently nobody ever wants them all that often or they would stock them that way.

Get into commercial panels and you also have choices of panel covers with no door - which I have opted for a few times.

These days all the preaching of not working live sort of makes this next thing somewhat irrelevant, but I like how much less exposed bus the QO loadcenters have then pretty much everyone else's (including the Homeline) at the non used spaces.

They do make a Homeline variant; that brochure just happens to show the QO.
