I have recently purchased a wood planer and dust collection system. They are located in my garage not near my breaker box. I have 200 amp residential service with only 2 slots left. I need two 6-20 recepticals for these machines.
Joiner manual says minimum circuit size 20A and 220V.
Dust collection says the same.
I see on Amazon you can buy a dual receptacle and there is a comment of a guy who had the same issue as me and left this feedback: Perfect for a small wood shop with limited breaker space for multiple circuits.
Great item. Allows me to run my dust collection and jointer or other small woodworking equipment at the same time as I only had room for 2 breakers in my shop, and the other is dedicated to either my planer or table saw (both 5hp). I used 30A wiring to the receptacle as I'm just over 20A for this guy (22.5 per the manufacturer's statement) when using both receptacles.
I doesn't seem like there would be enough power supplied to both pieces of equipment?
