aah. Soooo... if one chooses to install a lightning protection system, I'm assuming you can follow the 2023 version?

Because it's NYC. Why do they use 2008 NEC with amendments while the state uses 2017? They kind of make the rules work for what they want.

In NYC we also don't have to file electrical drawings, except for services over 1000 kva.

Lightning protection is optional. If you install it, you can choose to follow whichever NFPA 780 you would like, or none at all.
