I was reading the NEC 517.18 whre it says that branch circuits from the normal system shall originate in the same panelboard, when dealing with HOSPITALS, but the exception to that is 'special' purpose shall not be required to be served from the same panel board.
I read the NFPA 99 2005 verision and it says the same thing only it does NOT list the exception and nor is there any reference to it. Does this mean that NFPA 99 has taken this exception away and so now you have to come from the same panel board?? Thanks.
