NJ: Typical Fire Alarm questions

I did a search and did find some information on what might be on the Fire Alarm portion of the NJ exam, but I'm interested in learning more. Like most electricians, I haven't done much FA work. The test is 50 questions, multiple choice, open book, based on on the 2002 NFPA-72.
 
I just took the CSA Exam in AZ. 72 questions in about 1-1/2 Hrs.
Had a lot on NAC circuits, smoke and heat detector location questions. Some battery power limitations running H/S and H/Speakers. A couple voltage drop calcs. A couple common sense questions about wire size and which one has a lower voltage drop.

I found no study material for this test so I just read the NFPA 72 several times.
To pass this exam you must get an 80 but are expected to get a 90.
 
90% of the questions will be right from 70 or 72, it's not really a fire alarm test, it's more of an alarm test. You might be suprised how easy some of the questions are, like hole spacing from edge of a framing member. The other questions will be from the referenced alarm book they recommend for study. Questions about types of devices and operation.
 
I'm taking a prep class for the exam and we really hit the Fire Alarm portions hard today. That's a difficult book to understand. It's nowheres near the same layout as the NEC. We used the glossary a lot to find answers and we got to doing a lot highlighting so I think I'll be alright. Thanks for the tips.

we also covered a lot of Article 760 and even a little bit of 725. :)
