NM cable and bridle rings.

I’ve got a basement floor joist space I need to run quite a few NM cables through.

There is a drop ceiling and many of the cavities have duct work and panned of sections for return air.

Drilling the joists will be extremely difficult at best.

Was thinking of screwing in bridle rings every 32” to the bottom of the joists and pulling cable through them.

Pulling cables and stapling to underside of joists is an option but it looks like it could be a real birds nest navigating tie wires and wiring to lay in troughers.

Anybody see a code issue I’d be overlooking by doing this?

Thanks

If there is a dropped ceiling I don't believe you need to drill the joist.

We always squared off our wires by running to the outside walls and then down a parallel joist. You can always box in the corners if need be

I’m trying to avoid pulling them across an above ceiling space that’s cluttered with hvac , tie wires, plumbing, etc.

Run a nylon fish tape thru the rings and pull all the home runs through at once.
