NM Cable Pole Barn

I’m working on wiring my pole barn, and I am running NM. The pole barn is not considered a wet location, the walls will be insulated, and will have sheet metal put up after the electrical is ran. Am I aloud to run the NM cable along the horizontal boards that the outside sheet metal is screwed to? If so, is there a specific height that I have to run the NM at?
