I see that...hmm. Any suggestions on 4/C plus ground temp cable? MC I guess? Weird though as my database has 4/C plus ground AL SER.Looks like southwire only makes it in #2 Aluminum or larger. I doubt you will find it in NM cable
I would absolutely use 3-phase SER in this case.
Might be waiting longer and spending more for a special order cable then if you just ran raceway with conductors, even for temp installation.
I installed feeders to mobile office trailers at a large construction site last spring - some were over 200 feet, all were 200 amp. Buried same wire I would have if it wasn't temporary, nothing else was going to be any less cost. Did direct bury it though since it was temporary, but it was direct bury rated conductor anyway.Agree. Curious, what do the electricians install when they only need 60' or so of temp cable and it's a large size...say #1/0 or larger. Don't think you can get SER or similar cable in such small footage. Guess like you said pipe and wire.
5 conductor or 4W/w is available in 2, 2/0 , 4/0 ,and 250 at many supply houses by the ft. Not always cheap though. I prefer MC cable.
TY..but MC you would have to buy at least 50' in those sizes. no?
