NM in conduit

I have to run #6 NM through the basement 50 feet through block transition to PVC for 30 feet up in garage panel. Can I run the #6 NM all the way? Or should I run THWN through conduit to garage?

You can run NM all the way as long as the PVC is large enough.

Your title says NM in conduit, but your question seems to be different. If you're asking if you can run the NM through the basement without conduit, then yes you can. If the basement is open, you can strap the NM to the underside of the floor joists. The NM just needs to be secured and out of the way of physical damage.

Underground is a wet location so NM would not be allowed based on that

Would need U.F. for that portion.

It seems strange but I have already purchased UF cable cheaper than NM.

May be able to do the entire run with UF.
