Hi: Yes NM may be run in conduit. See 2005 NEC Art. 334.15(B) & for UF see 340.10 (4) which references Part 2 of Article 334.

Yeah, I saw that but I am in a discussion (argument)with someone that thinks because they don't show up in annex c, they can't be used. Now I'm just looking for backup lol, you provided it.

If the NM goes outside it cannot be run in conduit. UF cable is allowed outside (obviously) and in conduit. If you are talking about sleeving NM cable up or down an interior wall you can do this providing you maintain the appropriate conduit fill.

Hi: The question was a simple one. Can NM be installed in conduit? The answer was a simple one. Yes! There was no mention of playing "What if?". I'll catch up here after a while. I'm like a new kid on the block. I will learn to discern the hidden meanings of these questions as my perspacacity develops. In the meantime, not knowing with the slightest degree of accuracy, I could not presume to designate per adventure I might err. Have a great day. I enjoy your threads very much!

But... the answer was not so simple as Celtic pointed out... Yes is only true in some situation. Yes would be the correct answer if it were always true. But it Ain't. LOL

I see now what line of reasoning you are using by looking for the deeper answer. By the way, I also enjoy your threads and thank you and Celtic for your patience and input on these posts and threads.

If the question requires only a yes or no answer then the answer is yes. There could be 1000 no reasons and only one yes reason but the answer would still be yes.

Everyone here likes a good debate... so a simple yes/no answer is out of the question...

If the answer was never in the question, how could the answer be out of the question?

Is this Irish gibberish. If the answer was never in the question than it must be out of the question.

If I never went into the water, I can still be out of the water. Is joey in the water. No, he's out of the water by the life guard stand. Doesn't matter if he was in or out.
