We need more info. What kind of building. Is nm allowed in the building then it would certainly be allowed in the crawl space.

Is there a reason you ask this question because nm is allowed in homes and if the crawl space is not a plenum then it would be fine unless there is a local ordinance on using nm in a home. I am curious why you ask.

Yes, I was having trouble interpreting 2005 334.10(3), the "shall be concealed" and "thermal barrier " part. I thought I knew the answer, but started second guessing myself- the more I read it , the less sense it made! Overthinking, I guess...

334.10(3) is talking about structures that are not one and two family dwellings nor multifamily as noted in (1) and (2). Glad you figured it out.
