I priced this job a couple of days ago for one of my pool contractors.
I just gave it a quick look and assumed everything would go according to plan.
The task was to connect a floating fountain to be used in ponds/lakes. This is for the display model.
Instead of having to order the CH220 GFCI, I was going to take that 50A GFCI CB you see pictured (currently running a floor model spa) and put it in the main panel in place of the standard 50A CB, and have the GFCI protect this subpanel so I could use a regular 220 CB. I told the customer just to turn off the heat when he wanted to run the display fountain.
So anyway, I get the thing hooked up and start to connect @ the sub-panel and find this.
Ouch. And now I can't put this 50A GFCI in the panel because I found he has two panels, and the other is a CH BA type, and that is what feeds this sub.
So of course I should've checked all this before I started.
Anyhow, they had a customer who wanted to see it run today, so I had to do something temporary to get it going.
Ah, that's good stuff!
I beg your forgiveness.
