Gents, where is the regulation concerning the cable selection for use in a non-plenum ceiling. This is a commercial building where the warehouse will have a new acoustic removable tiled T-bar ceiling installed above new offices. The space above this ceiling will remain empty up to the roof

I would think in each section of the NEC specific to the type of cable you are wanting to use. 334.12 is the one that says you can't use romex in a suspended ceiling.

I would think you just need to use CMR (Riser Rated) cables since their is not a plenum requirement for this environment.
