Nortel Digital Phone connections.

I have moved an phone system to a new location for a business, and was wondering where I might find information about hooking up an extra phone line to an Nortel digital phone system. The "input" and "output" plugged into the system are punched down into an Bix block, but to understand which outputs to connect to, or how to program the outputs to assign 4 lines to an new phone line etc. would be nice to know...any information would be appreciated!

I'm guessing you have a small key system like an ICS. You really need someone who has programmed these before. If you insist on programming, Nortel has opened up their documentation on these small systems and you can now download almost any of the installation and programming manuals.

I used to work on a huge Nortel Meridian system, and the manual was literally like an encyclopedia set. I'm not sure that adding a station to any Nortel system is all that straightforward. Best to get a phone guy in to program the new DN and you just run the wire.
